Evolving Our Identity: South Asian Leaders Unite to Empower
As an organization dedicated to the empowerment of women, we recognize the importance of evolving our identity to better reflect our values and vision. Today, we are excited to announce our transformation from "South Asian Ladies Unite to Empower" to "South Asian Leaders Unite to Empower." This change represents a significant step towards inclusive leadership while staying true to our core mission of fostering a strong, supportive network of women. Through this transition, we had two primary goals:
1. Reflect Inclusive Leadership
Inclusivity is at the heart of what we stand for. While our previous name served us well, we believe that "Leaders" better encapsulates our commitment to supporting women from diverse backgrounds. By adopting a more inclusive name, we are emphasizing that leadership knows no boundaries. It also allows us to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our allies who encourage and uplift women in their pursuit of leadership, helping foster a diverse and inclusive community of leaders.
2. Maintain Our Core Mission
Despite the name change, our core mission remains unchanged. We are committed to providing a platform to build an empowered community of South Asian women professionals focused on unity, progress, and change. Our inclusion of “leaders” within our name reflects our ongoing dedication to fostering a strong, supportive network that uplifts and inspires women to reach new heights.
As we embrace our new identity, we are excited about the opportunities it brings to further our mission of empowering women and promoting inclusive leadership. Thank you for your ongoing support, and here's to a brighter, more inclusive future where South Asian female leadership is the norm.
