Classical Yoga & Meditation on January 30 @ 11:30 AM EST
About the Event
We’re excited about our first member-led event — a classical yoga session led by member Esha Gupta. The session will include 1 hour of asana (physical postures/ exercise), pranayama (breathing), and meditation (going inwards), followed by an optional 15 minute Q&A and discussion on the traditional purpose and meaning of yoga.

From Esha, on her experience and practice of yoga:
“I grew up in a family with three generations of yoga, spirituality, and affiliation to the Bihar School of Yoga – one of the first yoga institutions in the world. I have been practicing for over 20 years and started teaching at the age of 16, after completing my first formal training in classical yoga in India. I grew up watching my mother establish a yoga community and teach it to family and friends before it became sexy. As one of her first students who was guided through meditations every day after I got home from school, when all I wanted to do was play outside with the other kids, I truly started to appreciate the practice and realize its immense benefits after growing up and experiencing more of life. Yoga goes beyond a physical exercise and is about alignment between the mind, body, and soul. I am excited to share this practice with you!”
