Sushma is Chief Change Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Prior to joining the preeminent advocate for sexual and reproductive rights, Sushma was a senior executive at a Accenture, advising private and public sector organizations facing strategic challenges. Originally from Miami, Sushma co-founded an anti-poverty racial justice organization working in black and immigrant communities, and collaborated with other local and national coalitions for progressive change.
Sushma serves on the National Council of Graywolf Press, advisor to National Domestic Workers Association Labs, and visiting faculty at Harvard Kennedy School. She has been named Paul and Daisy Soros New American Fellow, Harvard Center for Public Leadership Emerging Leader Fellow, Ford New Voices Fellow, and one of Miami’s Power Women. Sushma earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management and MPA from Harvard. These days, she can be found zooming from her home in Brooklyn with her partner and puppy, Kulfi.
